Crispy Chicken, Chips & Gravy
Ingredients
1 packet Harvestime Slap Chips
Margarine
1,5kg Chicken Pieces
½ - 1 cup flour
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons fresh garlic crushed
2 teaspoons mixed herbs
Salt and pepper
For the Gravy:
2 cups Chicken stock
1 tablespoon Normal fat spread
1 tablespoon Flour
1 tablespoon Onion soup powder
Directions
Serves: 5
Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Total Time: 45 – 60 minutes
- Fry the chips until half done and set aside
- Preheat oven to 200 Degrees Celsius
- Combine the flour, paprika, garlic flakes, mixed herbs, salt and pepper and place in ziplock bag
- Add the chicken to the bag, zip the bag and toss well until the chicken is nicely coated
- Place the chicken in an oven proof dish and pour over melted margarine
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning once
- Enjoy with friends and family.
