Inkomazi Fried Chicken
Ingredients
Harvestime Straightcut Chips
1.2 kg Bone in, skin on Chicken Pieces
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 teaspoons chicken spice
1 teaspoon paprika
2 cups Inkomazi
1 cup Flour
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
3 teaspoons mixed herbs
Salt and pepper
Oil for frying
Directions
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 35 minutes
Serves: 4 - 5
- Mix the garlic powder, chicken spice and paprika with salt and pepper and mix with the Inkomazi
- Add the chicken to the Inkomazi mixture and refrigerate for about an hour
- Next heat the oil
- In a large flat bowl, add the flour, chilli flakes, mixed herbs and a little salt and pepper and mix well
- Dip the chicken pieces into the flour mixture and fry for about 12 - 15 minutes until crispy and done
- Serve with Harvestime Straightcut Chips and gravy
